We just walked the neighborhood since all the fallen trees and branches had been cleared. Because so many people stayed home, the neighbors gave our daughter four, five or more pieces of candy because they all said they had only gotten one or two trick-or-treaters before my daughter. As a result, even though we saw fewer people, we got double the candy. I was happy that it worked out because Katya is not yet four and has been talking about Halloween for MONTHS. She had so much fun last year (her first time going out on Halloween) that she wanted to do it the very next day, and the day after that, and even though she got distracted for a while with Thanksgiving and Christmas, she's definitely been talking about Halloween since May.

So...it was a big deal that we were able to have some normalcy...

That's awfully cute. I'm glad she got to go. And made out like a dang bandit, apparently. :)
