for most European countries Obama is center, if not slightly right on most social issues. In the UK for example Obama would be blue Labour at best, possibly even one of the more liberal Tories. The way we (center left in the UK) see Romney is the way you see Hugo Chavez, someone totally out of a reasonable spectrum.
