Biden hinted he was thinking about running. But he looks older, so that might benefit her. Burr Send a noteboard - 07/11/2012 09:18:49 PM
Do you think she'll run? She'll be 69, and the only other person to be elected President that old was Reagan, who was also 69. I think I'd like her to run too, but I wonder.

If she does the full eight years as Secretary of State, the way she's doing it now, she'll have more relevant experience than most other candidates, the public will have had more time to forget about her less popular actions during Bill's presidency, and she'd have semi-incumbency advantage as long as Biden doesn't run as well. And there'll be still more desire then to have a female candidate, and she's the only real option on the Democratic side.

I think Snowe on the Republican ticket is rather less likely than Rodham Clinton on the Democratic one, really - and unfortunately. She'd be a formidable candidate in the general, but it does seem like a long shot for her to win the Republican primaries.

Good points all. Somehow I don't really think they'll take them to heart any time soon, though... - 07/11/2012 08:00:56 PM 1165 Views

Snowe? Seriously? Chris Christie is far more likely. - 07/11/2012 09:52:25 PM 1039 Views
Chris Christie *was* far more likely. I expect his party to eat him alive after Sandy. - 07/11/2012 09:59:17 PM 1212 Views
Yes, but Christie gained the respect of a lot of moderates for that. - 07/11/2012 10:20:08 PM 1030 Views
