In the weeks before wotmania shut, when it was increasingly obviously that Mike wasn't going to facilitate a handover by giving me the posts in a nice database parsable format, Camilla, Tor and I worked to download the messageboards by loading every page, one at a time, and saving the HTML.
This means that while we've got the content of all the messageboards, I need to scrape the HTML, re-link together the reply-tree structure, and build a front end, etc, in order to be able to display the posts. All of which is surprisingly time intensive!
