There are only five recognized holidays at the end of the year. They are, in roughly the order they usually appear:

1. Hanukkah
2. The Winter Solstice
3. Festivus
4. Christmas/Sol Invictus
5. New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

It is just, y'know, airing very specific grievances against a very specific group. Like Hanukkah if the Seleucids were replaced with... someone else.... ;)
