Interestingly, by adulthood approximately 75% of people use a mixture of print and cursive, rather than one or the other exclusively. I know I do.

I clearly remember learning cursive. And how stupid it was. And I love to write! But I tend to think that legibility is much more important than whether someone has executed a perfect capital cursive Q. (Can most of us even remember what that looks like? haha)

As I said, legibility is paramount. IMO, people will think you're at least slightly stupid if they can't read your handwriting, no matter how intelligent you are. I'm not saying it's true, I'm just saying it's a tendency of human nature.
