However, I think that a one-state solution might not be a one-state solution in which they had full legal rights (see my post below). If they did stay, I think birth rates might drop off (and all evidence is that the population growth has peaked and is on the downswing again). Also, don't forget - Israel would never incorporate Gaza in a one-state solution, so you have a 6 million/1.5 million disparity.
