Classic rows with drip irrigation is probably fine for you then, the main selling point for me was that I get drainage issue and I already have to add a lot of soil amendments so the raised beds mean my garden doesn't drown. I rarely need to bust out the hose except peak summer, a few of the thirstier plants with a watering can is typically it outside of that.
