View original postwell, our rainy season is limited to mostly fall and winter, so i have to water regularly, which can take up to 30 minutes. i don't water every day, but i have to do it frequently enough that it starts to become tedious pretty quickly...
Classic rows with drip irrigation is probably fine for you then, the main selling point for me was that I get drainage issue and I already have to add a lot of soil amendments so the raised beds mean my garden doesn't drown. I rarely need to bust out the hose except peak summer, a few of the thirstier plants with a watering can is typically it outside of that.
