IIRC the constitution only talks about it in two places, in the original where it just says they will be paid from the treasury with no specifics given, and in Amendment 27, which just forbids them from changing their pay till an election takes place. I'm pretty sure they could set it to be a billion dollars a piece effective 2014 if they wanted to, though of course they'd never survive a re-election bid, likely literally
Still it would be a hard one to object to, and at most I'd expect them to swap min wage for something like 'last fiscal year median household income' or such. Of course, they'd arguably be working for tips so we could pay them fed min wage for tips of $2.13 per hour too.
