God knows why anyone would want to do so

...primarily because that quote is basically the understatement of the year. Anyway, it sucks and I'm sorry, but good luck getting it cleared up. Oh, and keep us posted. If it does turn out to be a DOS attack, I'd love to hear the motivation behind it.
