In addition, what is generally referred to as "discrimination" towards homosexuals, is in fact, the failure to offer special treatment or accommodation to their aberrant circumstances.

For the most part, the "public" opinion is universally favorable, and as I noted, anyone attempting personal discrimination is sure to get hammered by the authorities, and the overwhelmingly supportive media. Serious discrimination of homosexuals in general (the occasional individual violent exceptions notwithstanding) is mostly a persecution fantasy.
