View original postI think his real name is Kaori Ishibashi. He was the violinist for Regina Spektor for awhile, if you know her, and then he formed his own band, but he goes under the name Kishi Bashi for his solo stuff that he's done more recently. There are a few of his songs I particularly enjoy — "Manchester", "Pathos, Pathos", and "I Am the Antichrist to You". Despite the titles, I find his songs uplifting and meditative at the same time.

I do know Spektor, and saw her live a few years back. I've just queued up those songs on Spotify and they sound good.
