Congratulations! I hope the hips will improve, although if my personal experiences are any guidance (I'm also glad to be male...) she'll likely get worse.

Some women never notice any discomfort, even at full term, others have frequent pain the rest of their lives; most (hopefully including my wife) fall in the middle.
