My advice would be: join a political action committee, start a movement, or petition a governing body. If you really feel committed to the cause, that is the path to changing anything just as a feminist movement did last century. But more than likely, you will toot your horn here while you're angry, then gradually revert to apathy until the next time this situation comes up in your life, in which case you will start the cycle over again.

Really I understand your need to vent, but its really about as useful as farting. I'd be much more interested to hear about the PAC you joined or started to make a real difference.
