I actually think Cutler got a raw deal out of that one.

...But they have no room to talk about Jay Cutler being a cry baby when their Golden Boy Elway cried his way out of going to the Colts when he came into the league.
It's a case of he said, he said, though, and whose story you believe. The way I first heard it McGuru thought he could engineer a three way deal with his old team, his new team and the Lions that would result in him getting Cassell back PLUS Detroits #1 pick in exchange for Cutler and ONLY Cutler. I don't know how much crack he was on at the time, but Cutler got wind of it, asked his new coach what was up, and had it denied to his face, so when it hit the press he was understandably pissed off at McDaniels.
That's the pro-Cutler take, of course, but the way McDaniels set to work cleaning out every vestige of Shannys old team to make Denver his own it seems very plausible to me, and it's really the only way to explain how the previously low key Cutler suddenly turned into the poster child for malcontents overnight, even if he does have the same agent as Favre. Heh, just a quick google might explain why Brandon Marshall still has a job--Broncos Country claims Shanny was going to cut him in the off season, and McDaniels seems to have taken a "Shanny player bad, non-Shanny player good" attitude. Would explain why we had Tim Crowder, the only DE we had who could blitz AND stuff the run, for, what, one year?

I tend to agree, though some say that just prevented a threepeat (Note:No one in Green Bay does.

Defensive pressure trumps absolutely everything else in football. '85 Bears were the kings.

Have a look at the teams to win the SB since '80 and then we'll talk.

I referenced teams that have won since the '80s, as well as one from before then.
