Italian is one of those languages I've never wanted to learn. The Shrike Send a noteboard - 20/09/2013 12:33:49 PM

View original postI consider it to be among the best of the apps out there. I've used it to reinforce my fading German and learn spoken French. They also have Spanish among the languages.

You can always quibble of course with some of the translations and things that they do or don't accept, but it does seem fairly effective (I've been using it for Italian, more to test it than anything else as that's a language I wouldn't mind speaking but can't be bothered to put too much effort into).

Mostly because my desire to learn a language is directly correlated to a country's history and literature. And post-Renaissance Italian history is not one I am fascinated with enough to care too much about.

I do wish there were an app out there to help me learn a non-European language such as Japanese. But I haven't seen anything good.
