I don't post on the CMB particularly because I feel I have no place here. I don't care about politics and would love to even post about music or something random but...no one cares. At least I feel if I post in a general "everything" board, some one might actually listen. Too many people bypass the CMB because of the political BS.

We could have a separate politics board after merging everything. How about that?

Political posts used to rage on the old CMB boards. And yet there was life. Lots of it. I used to debate/fight/have fun battling ignorant homophobes. Now people can ignore entire subject categories and people advocate for ghettoization of political posts.

It is so easy to simply not click. Better to integrate it all, kill the ability to ignore, and have some fun. In the sun. With some hot Aussiebum men.


They were fun for a while, but they get old quick when it's same people rehashing the same talking points over and over. Like with religion, many people don't like to talk about politics, not because they're "squeamish" but because there is rarely any value. Many MBs have a separate politics/religion forum so that it keeps that trash away from potential new traffic.
