I think that's something that mostly women do, though. I think it's probably due to implied cultural training, and it's the same reason men don't.

I can't say that I never would, though. For instance, if I thought for sure a loved one would die or be seriously and permanently injured, but they turned out to be fine. But for something like flying fish? That's just never going to happen.
