For starters, I would say the 2010 census needs to be the end of gerrymandering. There'll be a new census so districts will have to be redrawn; the national leadership of both parties needs to make an effort and agree to let impartial panels redraw those borders everywhere in the country.


it would still be possible to game the system, but not at the level it's being done right now. also, this would make things much easier to deal with on election day when you want to know who you're voting for and where.
