As far as I'm concerned, he pretty much nails what I think Putin is after, and what my ambivalence on how this should have been handled is about (ie: it pisses me off massively that in the 21st century a G8 country can use this sort of aggressive diplomacy redolent of Stalin or Hitler, and use provocateurs and transparent pretexts to justify taking over a sovereign nation, yet trying to reply to this or envision this as if we still lived in the cold war era as the West has pathetically done so far (while pretending it's Russia that does it) is pointless.
