If you don't mind sharing, how are the kids coping with everything? I know that you have shared in the past that you actually reconciled with him when the ALS appeared and I just wanted to say that that decision, in my mind, was/is very merciful and graceful and very courageous and speaks volumes as to your character. I have a lot of respect for you even though we have never met. My truly sincerest thoughts are with you and your family.

Thank you so much. We actually reconciled about a year before..maybe a year and a half, but even then, something was clearly wrong. I didn't attribute the wrongness to a disease at the time as it was too subtle, but it was definitely "not right".
The kids are doing really good. They know what is going on, but if you recall being a child, "tomorrow" will always be there, and I think that is happening with them now. I think that this will REALLY hit them only when he loses his fight with this disease.
Thanks for asking, and I will definitely keep the board up to date on his progress.
