Committing the crimes gets you in contact with the police which seems to correlate to your roughly equal chances of being killed, regardless of race.

So, this doesn't look at stopping and frisking or racially profiling drivers and letting them go. It looks at arrests for actual crimes. So, again, the reason you're committing a crime doesn't matter.
