So I'm traveling to Ukraine... Dragonsoul Send a noteboard - 08/12/2014 06:53:03 PM

Only the west, not the wartorn eastern parts. I know next to nothing about Ukraine, or it's culture or history. What I do know comes from a few Ukrainian friends I have there. I picked up some Ukrainian and Russian phrasebooks.

Anyway, my question is: has anyone traveled there before? Any weird cultural practices? Good food to try? Anything I should bring specifically, or see while I'm in western Ukraine? Besides Chernobyl and Maidan, I'm not really sure of any sites to see or things to do.

Input would be appreciated!

Refer to the place as "West Russia" or "East Poland". That's how they tell Ukranophiles from posers - 09/12/2014 05:58:27 PM 449 Views
