One of the unintended but completely predictable consequences of racially seleftive bussing. Not surprisingly anyone who couldn't afford private school instead chose to move to smaller suburbs instead of allowing their children to be bused across town to bad scools.

In the US the suburbs are often bigger than the cities and typically much more liveable
