The number of unique IP addresses which have accessed any page on the site within the past 30 minutes.
I've put in place measures to try and strip out search engine spiders, but it's probable that a proportion of these are automated scripts rather than actual people on a computer somewhere.
I amuse myself.
So, what does "Active Users" actually mean?
