Decide what you want to fight over and what it isn't worth and keep your pride out of it. At first my ex wanted to fight over every single thing even over stupid things like my tools which she had never touched. We went to mediation and they convinced her she would get a lot less if it went before the judge. I ended up with less than half but it was what mattered to me and I didn't have to spend more time in a room with her. My kids were young so that part was hard but if yours are older they should have a lot of input into where the end up.
