View original postWe have huge tariffs on SUVs and trucks that were never phased out. It's why even Japanese and German manufacturers make their SUVs and trucks in the US. It's why we have a car industry in many places. It's also why we export a lot of SUVs and trucks.

On an unrelated but more than a little creepy note, I looked at a list of the biggest American export items on Wikipedia. At number 12 you get, and I kid you not, 'human and animal blood'.

And yeah, you're right, cars is number one, plus planes at 3, 'delivery trucks' at 11 and tractors at 30.
