To the extent that there is an issue with other races in the UK, I believe it is largely a legacy of their Empire, not EU baggage.

Also, the Republican party is the only one to consistently oppose racial discrimination, from its founding, through the present. Just because you prefer black people, does not mean that policies favoring them are not discriminatory.

Xenophobia is a feature, not a bug in the human race. And it is technically inaccurate as you are applying it. Democrats are the ones to actually fear foreigners, since they are constantly wailing about the consequences of displeasing them, and their parents wet their pants in terror of foreigners throwing nukes at us. It was the hard-core conservative "Cold Warriors" who were not afraid of Russians. Look at this board, and you will find no one more hysterical about Vladimir Putin than Joel, or historically more terrified of what Germans would have done to the US. It was the conservatives who pointed out that if they can't cross the Channel, they certainly weren't coming across the Atlantic.

In fact, fear & terror are pretty much characteristics of the left. They're terrified of what the underclasses might think of them, they are terrified of guns, terrified of pregnancy, terrified of poverty, terrified of the planet, terrified of the environment, terrified of the sun, terrified of tobacco, oil and pharmaceutical companies, terrified of cancer, terrified of not having health insurance, terrified of college loans, terrified of Trump, terrified of rapists, terrified of hunters, terrified of racists and absolutely scared shitless about cigarettes and trans fats. They pretend to be afraid of political violence, when they are the perpetrators of it. The Klu Klux Klan was the militant wing of the Democratic Party, and its membership included such liberal luminaries are Robert Byrd and Hugo Black. Until an even further-left lunatic shot Kennedy, only Republican presidents had ever been assassinated. It's Democrats who hang presidents in effigy, liberals who attack speakers, rush stages and disrupt conventions. Liberals brought violence to campuses in furtherance of liberal agendas. Liberals revile the police for shutting down riots and defending the political process when liberals seek to overturn due process of the law. Liberals use simplistic arguments and labels and shibboleths, like -isms and patriarchy and 1% because it is easier to get violent mobs worked up over such things than it is over complex theories and precise definitions. Even their terminology is violent. The most recent popular political movement of the right is called "Tea Party" with connotations of a genteel and civilized gathering, and in reference to a non-violent protest, with no harm done to others, whose perpetrators even replaced a lock they broke in the process. By contrast, the left has the Occupy movement, with its connotations of invasion and violent suppression. And far more assaults and rapes at any single Occupy event than the entire history of the Tea Party movement. Oh, and the nickname the so-tolerant, so-enlightened left uses for their opponents, has homophobic connotations.
