View original postI live in Alabama, where we (currently) have voter ID laws, and in that bill, when it was passed, they also legislated free state issued government IDs to anyone who lived in the state.
View original postSadly, there are still calls every other month or so about 'racism', and, I am sure, with these other laws being struck down, ours will too.
View original postThe simple fact is that the Democratic party does not like voter ID laws simply because they do prevent fraud and discourage undocumented people from attempting to vote.
View original postIt's obviously super racist.
View original postyou live in Alabama and you'll try to tell us all voter ID has nothing whatsoever to do with suppressing the black vote, after the state decided to close the DMV's which were in predominantly black areas and forced everyone to go halfway across the state only on specific days to get in line with everyone else who had to travel halfway across the state? and that's assuming everyone who shows up for their free ID knows which arbitrary version of their birth certificate AND Social Security card AND whatever other paperwork the state decides they need to have already gotten before coming in.
View original postmeanwhile, with 31 actually documented cases of in-person voter fraud out of BILLIONS of votes cast, you're literally trying to find the needle in the haystack -- all in the name of supposedly making elections "fair" when it does nothing of the sort.
federal court determines voter ID based on racism, strikes down laws

Solution - give all citizens without driver licenses voter ID cards and reinstate the law.

Sadly, Democrats don't like that solution, either.
