I also voted for Johnson, but how sad is it that, with Trump & Clinton to go up against, the Libertarians still couldn't pull 5%? If ever there was a time that they should have gotten votes, this election should have been it, right? I don't actually like Johnson that much, but my low esteem for him is still staggeringly higher than my opinion of Clinton, Trump, or Stein.

I actually kind of liked Hillary until she became secretary of state. Hard to believe, I know, but check the archives for me mentioning Hillary! Also, note that my post with title "her hotness goes to 11" is about Hillary Swank...

I'm also glad that Trump won, though, and for many of the same reasons. I think he'll have an adversarial press and Congress (I doubt even the Republican majority will support him much, or for long) that will curb his worst impulses in a way that they would never have done to Her. Then again, he'll have a pen and a phone, just like the current guy...

Leaked emails show the DNC wanted Trump to win the nomination, because they were certain he would be easy to crush. Statements by key Republicans during the primaries and even to the end of the election show that the Republican establishment opposed Trump. Bush Sr. was planning (and probably did!) vote for Hillary. Republican leadership refused to endorse him. And he beat them all anyway! I thought he wouldn't win the nomination, then I thought he wouldn't win the election, and now I guess I'm through predicting his next loss.

Like you, I find it hilarious how all the money Clinton was raising and spending has remained such a non-story. I also find it awesome how little it mattered. Congratulations to all of us on that! Or maybe we should still be saying that we should get all this dirty money out of politics so that Trump could have won the popular vote majority he deserved? If she hadn't outspent him by so much, surely he would have closed the 330k gap or so that CNN is showing right now.

Turnout sucked for this election, which should not be a surprise given how horrible the two main candidates were, but I really didn't think the Dem coalition was this fragile.

Oh well, gotta get to work...
