Because it's a trilogy, you know you're going to get lots of detail. Plus Evans tends to be fair in his treatment of the Germans. He also wrote two new books that are on my radar.

The Third Reich in History and Memory

and

The Pursuit of Power: Europe 1815-1914. It seems there are a lot of good books coming out on the nineteenth century. I already bought The Transformation of the World A Global History of the Nineteenth Century by Jürgen Osterhammel.

But finishing up Peter Heather's book latest book on late antiquity (too dry; not recommended).

So many good books out there; so little time.
