I could be wrong, but believe RAFOs Active User list has never worked quite right. Maybe it just a latency thing.
Actually, I find this more amusing than the gross disparity between the Active User count and List:
This is a list of registered users who are currently active on the site.

There are also 117 non-registered users currently here. Heellllooooo!
Someone tell Sareitha to stop spamming her login. 
It may reveal the reason for the disparity though: If unregistered users are counted as active (which makes sense, and is heavily implied by the current count showing 124 Active Users and the current list showing 7 registered users and 117 unregistered ones.)
People are just USING us without bothering to register!
