This isn't like a terrorist organization which has plenty of others to try and step up...where simple destruction or well-planned destruction (and anything in between) is the goal.
He can't possibly have a son old enough to govern. And hasn't he killed most of his uncles/cousins that could be viewed as rivals? Honestly, there can't be many others left.....
If he did die, would the Party turn first to China over their own countrymen in the South?
