Worldwide we decry the dearth of leadership at a national level. Into this yawning gap steps President of Iceland Gudni Th. Johannesson who, during a question-and-answer session at a high school in Akureyri, said that he is “fundamentally opposed” to pineapple on pizza and that he would outlaw it if he could.

If this man ran for any office in the USA, I would now vote for him. As a native of Connecticut, the North American home of Neapolitan pizza, I fully concur with the author of the linked article. How about all of you?

Do you agree that so-called "Hawaiian Pizza" is an abomination?

Or are you an admitted Philistine who regularly befouls the most perfect food on earth?


Though I am conservative when it comes to what a pizza is. For instance that thing they call a pizza in Chicago? It's a casserole.

As for my preferred topping? Extra cheese.
