I can see today's kids not liking Tolkien and appreciating it for what it is. Even the Harry Potter novels are faster paced.

View original postJust a word of warning, modern books are much faster paced and focused. My daughter who consumes books at a shocking rate never liken Tolkien or pretty much any of the books from my youth I tried to get her to read. The only real exception was The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.
