As much as the memories hurt, my biggest fear is that they will fade. I don't want them to ever fade away. The biggest problem is all I can currently see is how she looked, sounded and felt the last four days of her life. I wish the images in my head were of better times. Maybe that's what eventually happens. One can only hope.
