The points are ridiculously low, and the field in general promotes like crazy. For example, my 1SG has only been in the Army for 10 years.


And I had a CSM in the neighbor unit who made it at 12, HumInt ain't bad, but I'd not advise it, Chris. It lacks the fraternity, IMO, but I certainly won't knock it. Your 1SG probably had to win his slot from a bunch of others guys and odds are there aren't many, you a NCO? You don't have to answer of course. But I for one think people are better off in combat arms to start.
