I could see him being a nominee, but not the winner. He may earn such praise, but it's way too early to tell. And since they aren't likely to give it to him twice in a row, they've basically barred him from receiving it when it would mean something.


It is some sort of life time award, you can only receive it once. So yeah, you are correct.


Comité International de la Croix Rouge received the 1917, 1944 and 1963 Nobel Peace Prize;
Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees received the 1954 and the 1981 Nobel Peace Prize

So organizations can. People not yet. I wonder if Obama could be the first person who gets it twice. It's possible if he did much for the world in the next 7 years. I don't think there is any proscription against it.
