I submitted an edited version of The Hysterical History of the Trojan War. I edited it so that every person who dies (Hector, Achilles, etc) does a Monty Python-ish "I think I'm going to make it" deal. It's funny but why should I have to edit literature for middle school kids? They can't even mention death? That severely limits the book selection for them and excludes most of the greatest works in history. It's ridiculous. It makes me sad for the kids.
