I love to go back and watch movies/read books I loved when I was younger. I'm nearly always startled to realize what kind of strange notions I took from them, or, heh, didn't take from them (for the record, Blues Brothers is pretty raunchy, but 10-yr-old me didn't get that).

Can you remember any specific instances of being really off-base in what you thought was happening in any given story?

-My thing is the taste/look of food. I thought Turkish Delight was more like peanut brittle after I read LWW. I also thought hard alcohol tasted like sweet pickle liquid from watching the plane scene in Romancing the Stone. Don't ask me!
