Subservient would be prostrating oneself on the floor at someone's feet. A bow is simply a point of respect.



But hey, you're entitled to your opinion. And you can bow to everyone you want to as a sign of respect. I consider it subservience. And prostrating and bowing are the same thing to different degrees for me. Leftovers of a hierarchical period. And I believe in egalitarianism. Therefore, since the Emperor does not bow but others do, it is not about respect when one bows to him. It is about subservience to his position. And I will not be subservient to anyone let alone someone who was not elected and whose ancestors held onto power by dint of being violent criminals.

Also, while you're at it, can you please defend the bow at 45 degrees rather than 15 degrees as is customary for the Emperor. Also, can you defend the not looking into his eyes as well. I really want you to defend both the bow and how incorrectly he did it.
