Personally, I do not like minarets very much. They look nice but the call to prayer during night time which some communities practice is borderline "in your face" behaviour. OTOH I'm rather surprised by the result of this referendum. I'm surprised it's even legal to propose something like this.
Too bad there's no marches and flag burnings. The last two months have been rather boring.
