I think a country has right to reasonable restrictions to protect their native culture. Form some of the reaction I have seen online you would think they had banned Muslim all together. Sorry but the idea that this is some sort of gross violation of human rights and sign of Switzerland slide into intolerance is simply silly hyperbola.

There are exactly four minarets in the entirety of Switzerland, and it's not like there were plans to build tons more of them, either. This is nothing more or less than a declaration of mistrust in the Swiss Muslims. A violation of human rights it is not, but a sign of intolerance, absolutely.
