Iran has churches, though they closed down some of the "evangelical" ones because members were allegedly trying to gain converts. Interestingly, five out of 270 seats in the majlis are reserved for officially recognized religious minorities--three for Christians and one each for Jews and Zoroastrians.


I knew that last part, but momentarily forgot some of them were for Christians.

And just how stupid do you have to be as evangelical church in Iran to try converting people...? Of course, the charges could be false.
