Listen to the marine scientists on this one. I have done, my university has a large and highly respected Ocean Sciences department, and many of its members believe that the only way to save fish stocks is to stop fishing for wild fish altogether. I'm not a marine biologist but I'm not willing to take the risk that they're wrong. I try to buy sustainably farmed (because there are some methods of fish farming that are even more harmful to the environment than the worst methods of ocean fishing) fish, when I buy it at all.
