Let's make it. . . 80/20. 'Cause, really, if someone talks to you, and ALL they do is ask you stuff, without even offering a little bit of themselves. . . you wouldn't get uncomfortable?


Some of the best conversations I've had have grown out of simply sitting down and asking a person "who are you, where are you from, and why are you interesting?"

They usually give me a blank look, wondering how in hell I can be so blunt and tactless, then they answer my question, and we get into a really deep conversation about why they are interesting.



Then you are not only asking questions, right? I mean it's not like you sit there going, "oh, and how was that?, why d'you do that?, how'd that work out?, would you do it again?" you know. . .

Seems to me the best conversations usually go at least somewhat both ways.


some of the conversations I was talking about have been mostly me saying things like "Well, wait, earlier you said..." and "Why would that happen..."

I get into the nuts and bolts of why that person is who they are today.

That said, once I know the person, conversations have to have that give and take of sharing information, or it becomes too one sided.
