Wasted steak is a horrible tragedy. My sister never wanted to eat hers and I always wanted my parents to smack the hell out of her

I've been smacked and spanked for discipline purposes more than a few times and I'm better for it (in real life at least ) Belts may have been used, possibly a stick once. And hands. Should belts and sticks be used? Probably not, but I don't see a problem with smacking your child once in a while.
