Yeah, it sounds goofy but negro was was blacks were called when he was growing up. That's why I don't really think he's racist, he is just a lot like the old Italian guy I know who doesn't understand why women get offended at his sexist comments. He grew up when you could say things like that to women and he never adjusted with the world when it no longer became acceptable. Reid is old school and never adjusted probably. Negro is just NOT what black or African American men and women are called anymore.
