It fits what I'm saying perfectly though - duck's produce duck eggs and Scotland produces Scotch. Chicken's can't produce duck eggs, no matter what size, shape, taste etc those eggs have, and Taiwan can't produce scotch, no matter what is put into it or what it tastes like. The reason being that chickens aren't ducks and Taiwan isn't Scotland.
It is a regional name and the only reason non-Scottish producers want to be able to claim to produce Scotch is to mislead consumers who want to buy whiskey distilled in Scotland. Instead, they should be honest and put their efforts into promoting their own product, not trying to mislead people about it and cash in on a reputation others have earnt.
